An unidentified vehicle struck his vehicle from behind. Lakshmannayak died on the spot. His son Ramesh was in a hospital after failed suicide attempt. Laksmannayak wanted to see his son when this unfortunate incident occurred. The villagers expressed grief over this tragedy and the village gripped by the sorrow.
