Warangal: The leaders of Tri-city Christian Fellowship (TCF) have called upon the community members to work collectively in protecting the assets of the churches.

Speaking at a programme held at Centenary Baptist Church in Hanamkonda on Saturday, the TCF president reverend K Kurian expressed serious concern over the encroachment of Christian properties. He stated that land grabbers were trying to register the assets of the churches on ‘benami’ names to own them. He said urgent measures were needed to prevent such activities and for this all the members of the community should come together.

The TCF official spokesperson Pallepadu Damodar appealed to the state government to intervene in the issue and initiate measures for the protection of Christian assets. The pastor of Centenary Baptist Church, reverend Niranjan Babu informed that ‘Baptist Community Health Centre’ has been established under the aegis of the Church. Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah would inaugurate the centre on August 17.
