Show statesman-like qualities: ESL

Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narasimhan who facilitated the ice-breaker meeting between the two Chief Ministers, is said to have told both the leaders to show statesman like qualities and see that ugly situations do not crop up between the two states.

The Governor first held a 30-minute meeting with the two Chief Ministers referred to the problems that had cropped up between the two governments in regard to sharing of Assembly premises. He, according to a source, told them that both the governments have to adopt a ‘give and take’ attitude as they have to co-exist in the common capital till Andhra Pradesh is ready with its infrastructural facilities.

He is also understood to have raised the issue of the manner in which the senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary Chandana Khan was stopped at the gate of National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Later all the three went into the hall where officials were waiting. The Governor was present all through and gave some suggestions in between to both the sides on issues like division of state employees.
