Earthquake canards frighten people of Telangana

Hyderabad: Just a mere canard about an earthquake that began its journey from a village in Adilabad district on Tuesday midnight has spread around all over Telangana within no time and frightened the people of the entire state.

The buzz went around within minutes and the technology use has been palpably seen to prove the mobile communication is not only a one-one communication but a sort of mass communication with the characteristic of immediacy. The canards that started at 3 a.m. on Wednesday were at its peak from 3.30 a.m. The state government has clarified that there was no indication of an earthquake on the Richter scale and urged the people to not believe in the grapevine.
