Farmers seek compensation for crop loss

Husnabad (Karimnagar): Farmers staged a dharna and organised a rasta roko at Ambedkar cross roads in Husnabad mandal headquarters on Wednesday demanding the state government to pay compensation for the crops which dried up due to deficit rainfall and power shortages.

They raised slogans seeking supply of continuous power for seven hours to farm sector. A farmer, Sunkari Rajaiah, said that farmers who had cultivated paddy, cotton and maize have suffered terrible losses.
