Tummala Consults Followers on Joining TRS Party. Former Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao held a meeting here on Sunday with his followers and associates representing five constituencies. He reportedly secured views of his followers on whether he should join the TRS party or not.

Sattupalli (Khammam): Former Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao held a meeting here on Sunday with his followers and associates representing five constituencies. He reportedly secured views of his followers on whether he should join the TRS party or not.
Speaking on the occasion, Tummala Nageswara Rao thanked the people of the district for reposing faith in him during the last 30 years. He said he would continue to strive for the welfare of people. Tummala turned emotional while addressing his followers at the meeting.
MLC Balasani Laxminarayana alleged that the TDP leadership was acting in a dictatorial manner. He said the TDP and also its workers in the district had suffered under the leadership of former MP Nama Nageswara Rao. He alleged that Nama Nageswara Rao does not maintain contact with workers representing the village committee.
Tummala Kondabala, M Vijaya Babu and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Kavitha attended the meeting.
Beehive of activity
The residence of former minister and senior Telugu Desam leader Tummala Nageswara Rao in his native village Gundugulapalli, in Dammapet mandal of Khammam district, who quit the party on Saturday, was a beehive of activity on Sunday. Party leaders and activists from various districts and areas in the State flocked Rao’s residence. They extended their support to his decision to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
The leaders pledged to back his decision, while conveying their good wishes to Tummala.
