Singapore to help AP, TS
A delegation from Singapore headed by its former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong has offered to help Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in strengthening industrial and infrastructural projects.

Hyderabad: A delegation from Singapore headed by its former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong has offered to help Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in strengthening industrial and infrastructural projects. The team called on Chief Ministers N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao separately here on Monday.
Chandrababu Naidu informed the delegation about the plans of the State government in transforming Andhra Pradesh into a logistics and manufacturing hub in the east coast and briefed them about the State's plan for ports, airports, highways, industrial nodes in Vizag-Chennai and the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridors, petrochemical corridor, smart cities and tourism in a big way. The delegation offered to share their experiences in the design of the new capital city and ensured that it would encourage Singapore-based companies to participate in various ports, airports, industrial and tourism projects. The team suggested to the Chief Minister that funds could be tapped from the proposed Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to be set up with China, Singapore and several other countries including India, as founder members. The delegation also invited the Chief Minister to visit Singapore.
The members in their meeting with Chandrasekhar Rao offered him help to build the new State and Hyderabad.
The discussion veered around investments, industries and development of urban areas in the State. Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali and Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy were present.
