Nalgonda: After a long time, water inflow has been increased to the Nagarjuna Sagar dam in Nalgonda district, in this season. The maximum height of the dam is 590 feet with a capacity of 11,472 million cubic meters. The present water level maintained at the dam is 587 feet and it is likely to go up further. The inflow of water is 1, 50,436 cusec, while the outflow is 57,718 cusec.

Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is a masonry dam on the Krishna River at Nagarjuna Sagar on the border of Nalgonda district of Telangana State and Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh State. The dam that provides irrigation water to the Nalgonda, Prakasam, Khammam, Krishna and Guntur districts along with electric power to the national grid has recently turned a point of discussion between the two states emerged out of united Andhra Pradesh.
