Inaugurating the Schulich School of Business here, he said the government would shortly announce its industrial policy and create an investor-friendly atmosphere. "We have five lakh acres of land ready for setting up industries and other business activity. We welcome the corporate and industries from across the country and globe to set up industries here," he told the gathering which included Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons. Rao said the newly created state of Telangana required blessing of people like Ratan Tata. The building for Schulich School of Business was formally inaugurated at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad on the city outskirts. The GMR group, which operates the airport and Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada, jointly established the campus.

GMR Group chairman G M Rao urged the central and state governments to ensure the passage of Foreign Universities Bill for the promotion of higher education in the country.
