Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao left Hyderabad on Thursday evening on a three-day trip to national capital New Delhi.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrasekhar Rao left Hyderabad on Thursday evening on a three-day trip to national capital New Delhi. Mr Rao will request Chief Justice H L Dattu to speed up the process to divide the Hyderabad High Court and set up a separate High Court for Telangana. He will also meet Union ministers and take up power shortage and other issues concerning Telangana.

According to sources KCR is will have an eye surgery after consulting with the doctors. He is accompanied there by a few of his family members.

Mr Rao will meet Central power minister Piyush Goyal. He will urge the minister to speed up the process for setting up NTPC mega-power plant in Khammam as promised in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, besides allocating more power to Telangana through central grid and other options.
