Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has left for a three-day tour to New Delhi on Thursday evening. He is planning to meet a few Union ministers regarding the ongoing power crisis in the State and delay in staff distribution. A meeting with Supreme Court Chief Justice regarding division of High Court is also on cards. Family members of KCR are accompanying him during this visit.

KCR is expected to consult an eye-specialist during his tour. He has been suffering from cataract related problems for quite some time and he is expected to take an opinion on this. TRS sources said that a surgery might not be possible during this trip because of KCR’s busy schedule. Chief Minister will strongly pitch for speeding up the setting up of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) plant of 4,000 MW for Telangana that was part of Reorganisation Bill.

Telangana is in the midst of severe power crisis with only 4417 MW available per day against the demand of 6700 MW. He will appeal to Union government to bail out the State from this situation.

Further, he will pour out woes of the State government regarding administration issues due to delay in distribution of AIS officers and government staff. It has been four months since Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were bifurcated but Pratyush Sinha and Kamalnathan panels' are yet to complete the task assigned to them. KCR will appeal to the Centre to intervene and expedite this issue, it is learnt.
