Though all senior leaders including L Ramana, E Dayakar Rao, M Narasimhulu, A Revanth Reddy and party MPs and MLAs joined the yatra, Parakal MLA M Dharma Reddy, who took a `U’ turn on his decision to join the TRS, skipped the yatra and announced that he had finally decided to join TRS.

Speaking to newsmen before the bus yatra was flagged off at the NTR Trust Bhavan , Ramana alleged that the TRS government had failed even to provide three- hour power supply to agriculture resulting in the standing crops getting damaged. This had pushed the farmers into deep trouble this season. “The bus yatra is aimed to instil confidence among the farming community,” he said.

Demanding that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao provide Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia to the families of the farmers who committed suicide in the last three months, the TDP leader said the yatra would proceed to Warangal on Saturday and on Sunday the leaders would visit Adilabad.

Mothkupalli takes on govt
Nalgonda: TDP leader Mothkupalli Narasimhulu alleged on Friday that the Telangana State government was indifferent to the suicides of 220 farmers after it assumed office in the State.

Speaking during TDP ‘bus yatra’ in Nalgonda district, he wondered why Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao failed to take advance steps to tide over the power shortage, as was done by his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu. The TDP legislator commented whether the TRS government was for people’s welfare or to celebrated festivals. He said the TDP would expose the TRS government till it honoured all the election promises.
