Former Mayor of Warangal Errabelli Swarna, former Minister B Saraiah, former Chief Whip G Venkataramana Reddy, former MP S Rajaiah and former MLA K Sridhar, the DCC president N Rajender Reddy, city Congress president T Vidyasagar, Gandra Jyothi, Hari Rama Devi and others took part in the protest.

Large number of women and men participated in the demonstration with empty pots protesting hike in water charges and long hours of power cuts. They also demanded the TRS government to issue pensions and ration cards to all the eligible persons. Speaking on the occasion, Saraiah said the TRS Ministers have been making false claims on improving drinking water situation in tri-cities of Warangal-Hanamkonda-Kazipet. It was the Congress party that ensured huge HUDCO loans for improvement of drinking water and drainage facility in tri-cities. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was busy inviting opposition party MLAs into TRS instead of taking steps to address issues like pensions and ration cards. Saraiah accused the state government of harassing the people in the name of survey and fresh applications for availing welfare schemes.

Venkataramana Reddy objected to Minister T Harish Rao claims on paying minimum support price for cotton and maize. The MSP offered by the government only remained on papers while the farmers were exploited by the traders. Yet, government failed to intervene in market, he complained. DCCB chairman J Raghava Reddy, ex-MLC P Padmavathi, leader Errabelli Rajeshwara Rao, EV Srinivasa Rao, Mahila Congress city president P Padma, G Ramana Reddy, Rajarapu Pratap and others were present.
