KCR returns; meets Governor, Rao is learnt to have informed the Governor about the agreement reached between Telangana and Chhattisgarh on sharing of power.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, soon after his return from Chhattisgarh after signing an MoU with that government for supply of 1000 mw of power, called on Governor ESL Narasimhan and apprised him about his Chhattisgarh visit.

Rao is learnt to have informed the Governor about the agreement reached between Telangana and Chhattisgarh on sharing of power. He is learnt to have briefed him about Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao's New Delhi visit and the Centre's directions to go ahead with power generation at Srisailam.

Telangana CM is also learnt to have discussed with the Governor about month-long Assembly Budget Session which would commence from Wednesday.

KCR visits Naya Raipur
Earlier in the day, KCR visited Naya Raipur, the new capital of Chhattisgarh where infrastructure works are in final stages. The State is building a new capital with over Rs 5,000 crore in around 8,000 hectares housing Secretariat, Assembly, IT parks and other key government departments. Besides signing his name in visitors’ book, KCR planted a sapling on the premises.
