Warangal gears up for Godavari Pushkaralu
The Warangal district administration has geared up for the ensuing ‘Godavari Pushkaralu’ in July 2015 at Ramannagudem and Mallakatta in Eturunagaram mandal and at Mallur in Mangapet mandal.

Collector G Kishan convened a review meeting with district officials here on Monday to chalk out preparations. He directed them to prepare estimates.
He said that department-wise estimates should be submitted at the earliest to take up works for the convenience of devotees at Pushkar ghats. He enquired about plans being taken up by the Panchayat Raj, Roads & Buildings, Electricity, Tourism, Rural Water Supply, Medical, Revenue, Information, Police and Fire Services.
A district-level committee comprising 18 officials was constituted to monitor the arrangements. The Collector would be the chairman.
The Rural SP, the ITDA project officer, SEs of Panchayat Raj, R& B, RWS and TS Transco, district tourism officer, district panchayat officer, RTC regional manager, Zilla Parishad CEO, DMHO, assistant director of Information & PR, deputy commissioner of Endowments among others would be the committee members.
Kishan said the committee would meet once in 15 days to review the progress of works and to take decisions.
Joint Collector Pausumi Basu, DRO Surendra Karan, ITDA project officer Sudhakar Rao, Endowments deputy commissioner Ramesh Babu, information department assistant director DS Jagan were among those present.
