Chief Minister Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao ordered the authorities to install surveillance cameras in problematic areas. The government will be setting up a 24x7 help desks all over Hyderabad.
The toll-free 181 number will be allocated especially to attend calls of women in distress and in need of help. Theses services will be extended in phased manner.The help desk services will be extended to other districts in a phased manner. The government has also decided to strengthen the IT Act to prevent harassment of women on mobile phones, Facebook, Twitter and other social networks and study possible curbs on social media, besides porn websites.
