Hyderabad: The news of the fake engineering certification in Andhra Pradesh hit Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao hard. He expressed serious concern over Hyderabad issuing maximum number of fake certificates. He said that he was informed by none other than the Naascom officials.

He informerd Nasscom officials had given the stats to him that out of 100 applicants, who apply for IT jobs here, nearly 80 possess fake certificates and this needs to be checked.

Chief Minister made it clear that he was not against students, but only against fake colleges that are claiming fee reimbursement from the state government. He also added that he introduced FAST scheme to reduce this ratio.

“I hung my head in shame when the Nasscom officials met me and said that the majority of the certificates submitted by students here are fake. I immediately held a meeting with the DGP, city police commissioner and education officials and asked them to check this menace, which is bringing disrepute to our city and state,” Mr Rao said in the Legislative Assembly on Friday.

He added, “Nasscom officials also told me that they have stopped campus recruitments in most of the engineering colleges here. When I asked them why, they told me that there is no quality education and even poultry farms were turned into engineering colleges.”
