Farmers approach High Court against the public hearing

Hyderabad: A petition was filed in the Hyderabad High Court by the farmers of Mellacheruvu village in Nalgonda district. They are up in the high court against a public hearing by MyHome Industries Ltd to establish a cement plant and mining limestone.
The petition wasfiled by K. Nagarjuna and B. Aadinarayana, farmers of the village, stating that the Telangana State Pollution Control Board had recently issued a notification to conduct a public hearing to establish a My Home Industries plant.
They informed the court that the farmers would be forced to suffer huge loss if the lime stone mining continues. They also added that as the surrounding paddy fields would be completely damaged due to limestone mining and urged the court to direct the authorities to stop conducting public hearing.
