TDP turns Telangana farmers' mouthpiece
The Telangana Telugu Desam organized an agitation near Indira Park on the issue of the farmers’ suicides. TDP leaders participated in the protest alongside the kin of some of the farmers, who had committed suicide.
Hyderabad: The Telangana Telugu Desam organized an agitation near Indira Park on the issue of the farmers’ suicides. TDP leaders participated in the protest alongside the kin of some of the farmers, who had committed suicide.
The families of the farmers who lost their lives brought out their voices out against the TRS government. The TD also filed a petition with the State Human Rights Commission, holding the TRS government responsible for the farmers’ suicides.
Telangana Telugu Desam Party requested the commission to take these suicides as government murders and file a murder case against Telangana government.
“The TS government should pay Rs 10 lakh to the kin of each farmer, who had committed suicide. It has not even paid a single rupee to the kin till date,” said MLA Revanth Reddy.
