Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President Ponnala Lakshmaiah feels that the government and, perhaps, some Congress leaders are also targeting him.
According to sources close to him, he will make a detailed statement on the government’s allegations against him on Thursday. The sources told The Hans India that Ponnala had started Tirumala Hatcheries soon after his return from the US with an intention to create rural employment. In fact, the company is owned by his brother. Ponnala is only one of the five directors. The source said that the land is not encroached as is being alleged by the government. It is purchased from APIIC and if any irregularity has taken place it is the APIIC which should be blamed, he claimed.
