TRS councillor threatens to stall council meet
TRS Councillor Shobarani on Thursday threatened to lay seize to the Tandur municipal office, stage a sit-in and take up an agitation if authorities failed to solve people’s problems by the next meeting of the civic body.

She held out the threat even as the Tandur Municipal Council meeting was on with chairperson Vijayalakshmi in the chair. Shobarani found fault with officials for their alleged negligent attitude. The Congress, TDP and BJP members welcomed her remarks. The other TRS were surprised by her threat.
Several Congress members demonstrated holding placards demanding pensions for all eligible persons. Councillors V Shanth Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Vinod Kumar Jain (TDP), Arvind (MIM), Sunita Sampath, L Ravi (Cong) spoke. Commissioner Gopaiah and officials attended.
