Petrol price reduced to `70 in Modi’s rule

Nirmal (Adilabad): State BJP president G Kishan Reddy claimed here on Monday that party’s aim was to enroll more members than any other political party in the world.

He told the media that the country would emerge as one of the top in the world under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ‘All countries are looking to India in the area of development’.

Reddy stopped here briefly on his way to take part in party membership drive in Indervelli mandal headquarters.

He alleged that petrol price rose to Rs 85 a litre during the Congress-led UPA government, while it was only Rs 28 in A B Vajpayee’s regime. “The Modi government has slashed the petrol price to Rs 70.” He said the BJP government had launched ‘Swachh Bharat’ programme to sensitise people on cleanliness, to usher in a social change. Prices of essential commodities had come down in Modi’s rule. The BJP leader demanded the TRS government to increase each home guard’s salary to Rs 15,000 and to provide with other facilities, as they were rendering services, like constables.
