Land pattas to 30 families of police martyrs distributed
District SP Tarun Joshi said that they are committed to the welfare of families of the police martyrs in the district.
‘Committed to welfare of police martyrs families’
Adilabad: District SP Tarun Joshi said that they are committed to the welfare of families of the police martyrs in the district. He convened a meeting with family members of the police martyrs at district police office here on Tuesday. He enquired with the families of police martyrs about the problems being faced by them.
The Minister for Environment and Forests Jogu Ramanna handed over land pattas to 30 families of police martyrs on Tuesday. He has instructed the SP to take measures for sanctioning housing loans for construction of houses. On the instructions of Minister, Tarun Joshi has invited chief manager T Lakshmaiah and field officer K Sridhar Reddy of Telangana Grameena Bank to the meeting and discussed about granting loans for construction of houses in the presence of martyrs families.
The bank officials gave some suggestions on granting housing loans. They said that cost of constructing houses would come down if the houses are built with uniform design. However, bank officials said that they are willing to extend housing loans even if families of police martyrs are willing to construct houses as per the design of their choice.
The SP also said that they were making efforts to arrange medical facilities for police martyrs’ families. “We will begin the process of providing free medical treatment at corporate hospitals,” he added. Tarun Joshi has informed family members that benefits which they were entitled would be sanctioned to them without any delay.
The martyrs’ families have thanked Minister Jogu Ramanna, District Collector and SP, RDO and other officials for handing over land pattas to them as the issue was pending for the past 20 years. Additional SPs Bhaskar Bhushan, T Panasa Reddy, Challa Praveen Kumar; CIs S Satish Kumar and S Sampath Rao, and other officials were present.
