Adilabad: The people of Chennur have been urging the officials and political leaders to take steps to allocate land to set up a bus depot at Chennur. The main delay was due to non-allocation of land by the Revenue authorities though the R.T.C. management came forward to set up the depot. The R.T.C.

Officials have been requesting the revenue authorities for some time to allot 10 acres of land for the purpose. As there was no response from the revenue authorities, they have been in a dilemma whether to set up a depot at Chennur or not.

The political leaders of other areas have become alert and are making maximum efforts to get the depot transferred in their areas.

Just because of the negligence of the local leaders, the coal mines had already been closed in the earlier days.

Now, the local people have also lost the facilities of Government Model School and AP Residential School, which had to be actually set up at Chennur.

The people of Chennur worried that because of the negligence of the Revenue authorities, Chennur
Assembly constituency had not been developed and requested all the concerned to wake up to this issue.

The people of Chennur, Kotapally and Vemanapally mandals have been facing inconvenience due to inadequate buses as per the demand of the commuters in tune with population growth.

Hundreds of commuters wait at the bus stop for hours together for buses. The troubles faced by students in jam packed buses cannot be said in mere words. The normal passengers find it difficult to board the fully packed buses.

If a bus depot is arranged at Chennur, it will facilitate the people of Chennur, Kotapally and Vemanapally mandals to travel to nearby places easily, besides going to border villages of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
