  • Funeral arrangements made for a corpse identical to Anil’s physical features

But Anil refused to observe the deeksha and quit it. He left the home three days ago without informing his family members. He also switched off his mobile phone so as to keep himself inaccessible to his family members. Anil’s family members lodged a complaint at Mattewada police. “We started searching for him in Warangal and at our relatives’ places but in vain,” informed Anil’s brother K Ravi. Meanwhile, they read a news item published in a vernacular daily on Friday about an unknown body that was found by Warangal railway police at Siva Nagar locality in the town. Immediately, the family members approached the police and examined the body which was kept at MGM Hospital morgue.

Based on physical features of the corpse, they assumed that it was Anil’s body and took it to their residence and made arrangements for funeral on Saturday. While the funeral proceedings were going on, at around 11.30 am, Anil made a call to his friend Suresh.

Suresh, who astonished to hear the voice of Anil, informed him about the developments that had taken place in his absence and that his funeral was under progress. Anil told Suresh that he was alive and was staying at his friends’ place in Khammam.

Anil then spoke to his father K Laxminarayana and mother K Laxmi, who were under the state of shock and told them that he would be reaching the home in an hour and came back alive much to the relief of his parents. “We don’t have words to express our happiness,” they said after seeing their son. The family members handed over the unknown corpse to the police. The incident wasthe talk of the town and residents of the nearby localities were busy discussing it.
