Sharmila to tour Mahabubnagar district today

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader YS Sharmila would embark on ‘Paramarsha yatra’, a tour to console the families of those who ended lives following the untimely death of YS Rajasekhara Reddy in September 2009, from Barahmandlapalli villages in Mahabubnagar district on Monday.

Before kick-starting the yatra, Sharmila, along with his brother and party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, would pay homage to their father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at the party office in Hyderabad. As per the tentative schedule, the party leader would console three families at Irven, Devudi Padkal and Velja villages on the first day of the yatra. On December 9, she would visit Amrabad , Achampeta Ettam and Kollapur where she will unveil the statue of Rajasekhara Reddy. She will visit Pentlapalli, Chityala, Ranipeta and Nandinne on December 10. In her last two yatras in the district, Sharmila met the bereaved families in Jurala, Konnuru, Kosi, Aminkunta, Ericherla, Narsappaguda, Mallapur and Shad Nagar. In all, the YSRCP leader will console over 15 families during her yatra.

Party leaders said she would also visit other districts of Telangana in January. In her second leg of visit, Sharmila would tour Khammam and Nalgonda. The aim of the yatra was to instil confidence among the kin of the deceased, said the leaders.
