Hyderabad: YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister Sharmila kick started her 5-day Paramarsa yatra from Mahabubngar district on Monday. Sharmila began her yatra after seeking the blessing of her mother Y S Vijayamma and brother Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, paid floral tributes to her father and late Chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and drove straight to Irvin village in Kalwakurthy constituency.

She received a impressive welcome by party workers at Ibrahimpatanam on the outskirts of the city. She then visited the house of Rayapu Reddy and T Narasimha in Padakal village and consoled the family members. Rayapu Reddy and Narsimha died of heart attack on hearing the sudden death of YSR in 2009.

She would stay in Kalwakurthy for the night and would resume yatra on Tuesday covering Achampet and Kollapur constituencies. Speaking on the occasion, she said YSR was still alive in the hearts of poor as he had launched several welfare schemes including pension and housing. She said it was the responsibility of her family members to meet and console the bereaved families. She assured the people that party would provide help to all the poor families who lost their breadwinners.

The party’s Telagnana unit working president P Sriniavasa Reddy and party leaders G Ramachander Rao, Janak Prasad and others were also present. Sharmila is also scheduled to call on the family members of S Anjamma to instill confidence among them. On Dec 11, she would visit Jurala, Konnuru, Kosi, Aminpur and Kodangal. On December 12, Sharmila would four more villages before leaving for Hyderabad via Shadnagar.
