Hyderabad: Opposition parties may be crying foul over the grandiose plans of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to make Hyderabad the world’s best city, but the maverick chief is at it, come what may.

If sources are to be believed, Rao is hellbent over his decision to set up yet another world class film city that would give other film cities in the country a run for their money.

The proposed film city will come up in an area of 2,000 acres in Rachakonda area. According to sources, the Chief Minister wants to make it a world class film city with awe-inspiring premises, incredible sets and enticing structures.

Rao will take an aerial survey on Monday to locate the most suitable place in Rachakonda area of Ranga Reddy district. Ministers P Mahender Reddy and G Jagadish Reddy and Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma will accompany Rao.

This film city may boost film industry in Telangana, official sources said.

It may be recalled that the Chief Minister recently conducted similar surveys at three places, including Rachakonda and Macherla in Nalgonda district for farm lands for Pharma City and some government lands at Mahbubnagar district for taking up developmental works.
