Khammam: Senior BJP leader N Indrasena Reddy alleged that the TRS government was adopting the policies which were earlier pursued by the Congress government in united Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to the media at the BJP office here on Sunday, Indrasena Reddy pointed out that the TRS came to power in Telangana after giving slogans such as “We should rule our own region” and “We should utilise our own resources.”

However, after coming to power, the TRS leaders were allotting contract works in Telangana State to those who belonged to other States. They were also making payments to the contractors even before the works were completed, he alleged. He also criticised the TRS for deleting the names of eligible persons from the list of pensioners.

The senior BJP leader also came down heavily on Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Ponnala Lakshmaiah. Referring to Ponnala’s statement that Modi’s government was encouraging religious conversions, Indrasena Reddy wondered why he had failed to comment when MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi made provocative speeches. He demanded that the Congress party and the Left parties should specify their stand on religious conversions.
