Cheriyal (Warangal): Around 166 acres of government land including plains and hillocks available around Komuravelli village would be handed over to Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple for development activities.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao issued directions to the Warangal Collector G Kishan in this connection on Sunday.

The Chief Minister had a brief interaction with the Collector at Komuravelli in Cheriyal mandal in the district after addressing a public meeting.

The Chief Minister enquired with the Collector about the availability of land at the village.

The Collector informed him that a total of 166 acres of government land was available in the village. Identification of the vacant land and handing over the same to the temple would be taken up soon.

The Collector had also told the Chief Minister that an extent of five-acre land adjoining Rajiv Rahadari would be made available for the temple.

“The Chief Minister has instructed us to hand over the land to the temple for construction of cottages and other development activities and we will do so soon,” the Collector said.
