Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have issued a long list of Do's and Dont's for the organisers of New Year parties in star hotels, pubs, resorts and farm houses in its limits. According to Cyberabad Commissioner C V Anand, there are 25 star hotels, three pubs, 22 resorts and 269 farmhouses in Cyberabad limits. Most star hotels fall in limits of Madhapur Zone and most of the resorts and farm houses fall under Shamshabad and Balanagar zones. The Commissioner said in recent past there were allegations that star hotels and resorts were encouraging some illegal activities which include functioning beyond timing, hookah smoking, drugs consumption and organising rave parties in resorts.

While wishing the people a happy New Year in advance, the Cyberabad Commissioner announced the rules and regulations for conducting New Year eve parties in an orderly and safe manner. He said measures that were taken last year had resulted in zero deaths in road accidents which are unprecedented.

The Cyberabad Police permitted the New Year programmes between 8 pm and 1 am only. It said admission to New Year parties should be only through invitation. No general public should be allowed. The maximum number of persons to be allowed should be declared by the organisers at the time of obtaining permission. Only couples of the registered members and their acquaintances should be permitted. No single person (Male or Female) should be allowed to enter the venue.

The other norms restricting nudity, unauthorised consumption or supply of liquor, misbehaviour, special permission for DJs, limiting the loud speakers to 45 decibels, ban on carrying weapons and prohibiting bursting of crackers have also been imposed. The organisers have been asked to arrange CCTV, DFMDs and HHMDs on their premises and record real-time proceedings of the entire event.

The Commissioner said the Outer Ring Road would be closed from 11 pm to 5 am for general public while bonafide passengers, going to or coming from RGI Airport would be allowed. All flyovers in Cyberabad Police limits, including the PVNR Express Way, would be closed from 11 pm to 5 am.
