Earlier to that, he was the Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation and also the Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad city.

Khan is an upright officer and liked by all sections of society. He will also look into the postings of AIS officers, it is reported. Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma issued an order to this effect on Monday.
