Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science Warangal (KITSW) NSS wing launched a seven-day special camp at Nagaram and Seethanagaram in Hasanparthy mandal in the district.

Warangal: Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science Warangal (KITSW) NSS wing launched a seven-day special camp at Nagaram and Seethanagaram in Hasanparthy mandal in the district.

The KITSW secretary and correspondent V Lakshmikantha Rao inaugurated the camp at a programme organised at ZPPHS Nagaram village on Monday where Kakatiya University NSS programme coordinator B Suresh Lal and others were present.

According to KITSW NSS programme officer V Chandrashekar Rao about 120 volunteers were being engaged actively in the camp and have been conducting Swachh Bharat, medical camps and road repair works at Nagaram and Seethanagaram villages.

He said volunteers would also conduct career guidance and impart basic computer knowledge to government school children at the villages as part of the programme. The response from the villagers to the camp was positive, he said.


Addressing the students during inauguration of the camp, Suresh Lal explained the importance of NSS in student life. “Students should increase their socialization skills and know the dignity of labour. Among 40000 NSS volunteers under KU, KITSW volunteers stood top in the blood donation, he said.

Lakshmikantha Rao congratulated the college NSS unit and lauded their valuable contribution to the society.
ZPPHS headmistress B Radha, NSS officers Y Bhavani and K Rajendra Prasad, KITSW public relations officer D Prabhakara Chary, student coordinators P Praveen Reddy, N Prashanth, D Gayathri, G Keerthipriya, V Mounika and others were present.
