Threatens criminal cases against them

Warangal: Bharatiya Janata Party will file criminal cases against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and MIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi for hurting the sentiments of people, said party’s state vice-president M Dharma Rao.

Coming down heavily on both the Chief Minister and the MIM MP, Dharma Rao described them as ‘madmen’ set out to dividing people of the country. “They should be given serious punishment,” he demanded.

Dharma Rao, a former MLA, seemed visibly upset over the Chief Minister showering praises on erstwhile Nizams and the MP’s comments that every person born in the country was a Muslim. The people in the country would not tolerate such meaningless and anti-national talk, he told press persons here on Wednesday.

“I am born in India and not a Muslim, I am a Hindu and proud of it,” he said. He described Asaduddin Owaisi as a religious fundamentalist and the heir of Nizams while accusing him of waging a proxy war on Indian sovereignty and Hindus in the guise of Islam and politics.

“We would lodge complaints against Asaduddin and KCR under relevant laws for deeply hurting the sentiments of the people in the country,” he said. “You do politics but do not harm the feelings of public,” the BJP leader suggested to both the leaders.

Chandrashekar Rao has lost his right to continue in the office of the Chief Minister anymore, he asserted.

Even before Chandrashekar Rao was born, Telangana people were fighting against the tyrannical Nizam rulers. Every village has got hundreds of tales of suffering at the hands of Razakar army of Nizams.

Villages were looted, set on fire, people were indiscriminately killed, innocent women were raped and forced to nakedly perform Batukamma festival and sing songs, Dharma Rao pointed out. “But Chief Minister KCR is shamelessly praising Nizams oblivious of history and sacrifices made by people of Telangana,” he lamented.

“KCR is the Chief Minister of Telangana and not of Old City in Hyderabad, and he should speak responsibly,” Dharma Rao said. He also flayed Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy for supporting the comments of the Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader N Venugopal Reddy asked the government to release the pending 75 percent of loan waiver amount to farmers immediately and help them secure fresh loans for the second crop.

BJP district president A Ashok Reddy informed that the party’s membership drive was completed on Wednesday and that they reached the target of enrolling one lakh new members. As part of the on-line registration which is still open, another 50,000 members would be enrolled, he added.

Party state secretary Rau Padma and media secretary Trilokeshwar were present.
