All party meet on delimitation on Jan 18
Former Sanathnagar MLA and senior Congress leader Sashidhar Reddy has informed that an all-party meeting would be held on January 18 to discuss the delimitation of Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana State. In an informal chat with reporters on the Assembly premises here on Saturday, Sashidhar Reddy said the meeting was originally planned on January 12. However, in view of Sankranti festival, it has been postponed to January 18.
Hyderabad: Former Sanathnagar MLA and senior Congress leader Sashidhar Reddy has informed that an all-party meeting would be held on January 18 to discuss the delimitation of Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana State. In an informal chat with reporters on the Assembly premises here on Saturday, Sashidhar Reddy said the meeting was originally planned on January 12. However, in view of Sankranti festival, it has been postponed to January 18.
He said representatives of all political parties had been invited for the meeting to be held at Club House in Ministers’ Quarters, Banjara Hills. He said the decisions to be taken during the meeting would be sent to the State and Central governments and Election Commission of India (ECI) seeking increase in number of Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in the new State of Telangana. He said the delimitation process should be completed before 2019 elections.
