The union government is all set to launch a campaign t identify the EPFO non operative fund beneficiaries.

The Union minister for Labor & Employment Shri Bandaru Dattatreya informed here on Sunday that soon a massive campaign will be taken up by the government to identify the beneficiaries of Rs. 27,000 crore non-operative funds in the Employee Provident Fund.

Speaking to the media after inspecting the ESI Hospital in Nacharam he said that "To disburse this amount this amount, very soon the government will launch a nationwide campaign".

With a total amount of Rs. 1900 crore, under the Panch Dheep program, the medical reports of all the ESI beneficiaries will be made available on online. The necessary training to take up this task will be given soon, said the minister.

During the inspection at the hospital, he interacted with the employees and invited suggestions to make it a world class. Uppal BJP MLA Shri NVSS Prabhakar requested the minister to upgrade the bed capacity to cater the huge workers population in the locality.

Shri Prabhakar also made suggestions for the better working condition s and the health facilities.

Union minister also informed that the labour & Employment ministry has called a meeting with the major labour unions in the country on January 13 to discuss the key issues.

To cater the health needs of the local labour, the government is ready to establish another hospital in Hyderabad, added the minister.

The union government has spent Rs.10000 crore on the construction of ESI medical colleges. As a policy decision, these will be given to concerned state governments. If they did not agree to take up these institutions by January 31, 2015alternatives plans would be taken, he said
