The Telangana government has effected a major reshuffle in top bureaucracy besides giving postings to newly allotted IAS officers to the state. Seven districts got new Collectors, of them, five were women IAS officers. Hyderabad gets second women Collector after over two decades. Minnie Mathew was the first women Collector in 1988. The government appointed K Nirmala, a 2004 batch IAS officer, as Hyderabad Collector.

Neetu Kumari Prasad, IAS (2001), who was the East Godavari Collector till recently and was sent to Telangana in the division of AIS officers, was appointed Collector of Karimnagar. Likewise, P Satyanarayana was posted as Collector of Nalgonda. V Karuna, IAS (2004), was posted as Warangal Collector in the place of G Kishan, IAS (2001), who was transferred and posted as GHMC Additional Commissioner.
