Hyderabad: Showering praises on Telangana’s first Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for tirelessly working for the uplift of weaker sections on economic and social development, Telangana Rashtra Ex-servicemen and Farmers Welfare Association here on Sunday appealed to the TRS government to release a special GO for distributing 400 sq. yards housing plots to Telangana ex-servicemen.

Speaking to media persons here, association president K Mallesh, general secretary B V Immanel and others said they retired after serving the country. They said they were living in poverty due to paltry pension and were unable to make both ends meet.

Hailing Chandrashekar Rao for bringing about various welfare schemes for the benefit of shelter-less, the poor and toiling workers, auto drivers, government employees, media personnel, legislators and others, the Telangana ex-servicemen pointed out that the Chief Minister failed to understand the plight of ex-servicemen in Telangana.

They urged the Chief Minister to release a special GO for registering 400 sq.yds plots free of charge to the ex-servicemen who were living in government lands, as per the State GO No. 59.

They also assured Chandrashekar Rao that all ex-servicemen in Telangana would spare no effort to help make Telangana into Bangaru Telangana.
