Medak: District Collector Rahul Bojja has instructed officials of the Industries Department to give approval for setting up industries by clearing their proposals at the earliest. He participated in a review meeting of the Industrial Promotion Board at his camp office here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Bojja said all applications submitted for setting up micro industries would be cleared at the district-level.

He directed officials concerned to scrutinise all pending applications and give clearance immediately for setting up industries.

He handed over the responsibility to the Project Director of the Department of Rural Development for taking decisions relating to applications received from SC and ST beneficiaries.

The Collector instructed the officials of the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) to submit a list of industries by Saturday which are discharging pollutants in excess.

He also told them to submit a viability report for setting up tyre pyrolysis plants in the district. He asked the officials of the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) to allocate lands in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) after scrutinising applications which were submitted for setting up industries in SEZs.

District Industries Centre General Manager Suresh Kumar, TSIIC zonal Manager Revathi Bai, TSPCB executive engineer Ramappa Shetty and other officials were present. Later, Rahul Bojja reviewed various works taken up by officials under the Repair, Renovation and Restoration (RRR) scheme.
