Singareni lines up 5,500 jobs
Giving a big boost to employment opportunities in Telangana, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on Monday announced plans to recruit 5,500 people for various positions. SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar has taken up the initiative to fill up all the vacancies which have been postponed for various reasons from time to time.
Notifications to be issued from February 10
Hyderabad: Giving a big boost to employment opportunities in Telangana, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on Monday announced plans to recruit 5,500 people for various positions. SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar has taken up the initiative to fill up all the vacancies which have been postponed for various reasons from time to time. Following this, SCCL is gearing up to make the new recruitments through both external and internal mode.
People who are waiting for dependent employment will also be given jobs during this exercise. Of the total, 2,164 jobs will be filled through external route. The recruitment process for them will start on February 10 with a notification for 1,127 posts for degree holders in mining and civil engineering, in addition to diploma holders in electrical and mechanical engineering.
It will be followed by another notification for 771 jobs in the categories of fitter, electricians, welder, mine surveyor, junior assistants. The company will also recruit 266 paramedical persons and other technical staff. Tentatively, the exams for various jobs start in April and end in June this year.
“The C&MD has categorically directed company officials to make all the necessary preparations to complete the process by June,” SCCL said. Further, following directions from TS Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the company identified 2,744 people who sought dependant employment till March 2004.
“Out of this, 753 persons have been given employment till now. The remaining 1,991 will be provided jobs by August,” it said.In addition, SCCL is also undertaking internal recruitment for 564 positions as per the recruitment rules of the company, covering junior assistants, welfare officers, E&M engineers, scientific officers, etc.
