30 lakh workers to be covered in 10 districts; Don’t get disheartened for not getting posts: KCR
Hyderabad: In an effort to lift the morale of the party functionaries who were disappointed as the government had not yet filled the nominated posts, TRS govt has decided to introduce Rs 2 lakh insurance for each of the 30 lakh workers in 10 districts. Making this announcement at the party meeting, KCR said that Rs 2 lakh would be given to party worker’s family, in case of death.
TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao has appealed to the rank and file of the party not to be disheartened over not getting posts in the party or government. Due to compulsions and political equations, some have got chance earlier than other committed members, he said.
Addressing party functionaries that assembled in big numbers at RD Convention Centre, Kompally, he stated that every leader would be accommodated. Do not take hasty decisions which will affect your future and the party’s future. Remember TRS will come to power the next time too because of our good governance, he said.
He said people of Telangana people will not favour any other party if the government successfully implements Drinking Water Grid and Mission Kakatiya schemes, and give 24-hour power to farmers after 3 years or pensions to different sections as promised in the manifesto.
Bringing a big cheer to the thousands of party activists present at the venue, Rao said that party functionaries would be given nominated posts such as Market Committee Chairman, Corporation Chairman, Temple Committee Chairman, besides District Grandhalaya Committee at the earliest.
Constituencies where two key leaders have set their eyes on the party ticket should not see each other as competition but they should work in tandem to strengthen the party. With delimitation exercise soon to begin, 30 to 40 new constituencies would be created from the existing ones which would mean guaranteed party tickets for committed leaders of the party, he said.
