The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught a Village Revenue Officer (VRO) S Ravinder red-handed on Wednesday at Kurella village in Koheda mandal while accepting a bribe of Rs 7000 from a farmer G Ravi to change name in Pattadar Passbook. According to ACB DSP Sudershan Reddy, Ravi has requested Ravinder on several occasions to replace his name with that of his father in Pattadar Passbook.

Karimnagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught a Village Revenue Officer (VRO) S Ravinder red-handed on Wednesday at Kurella village in Koheda mandal while accepting a bribe of Rs 7000 from a farmer G Ravi to change name in Pattadar Passbook. According to ACB DSP Sudershan Reddy, Ravi has requested Ravinder on several occasions to replace his name with that of his father in Pattadar Passbook.

The VRO demanded Ravi to pay Rs 20,000 to get his work done. Ravi approached the ACB officials and informed them about VRO demanding bribe. On the instructions of ACB officials, Ravi told Ravinder that he was willing to pay Rs 7000. Ravinder has agreed and asked Ravi to hand over the money at the house of a ration shop dealer Malla Reddy at Kurella village. ACB officials nabbed Ravinder while accepting money from Ravi. They seized the cash from Ravinder.
