Nepal offers sops to Telangana investors

Hyderabad: The Nepal government has offered several incentives to the entrepreneurs of Telangana who invest in that country.

Addressing a press conference here, Krishna Prasad Dhakal, Chargé d'Affaires of Embassy of Nepal, said all investments in Nepal were safe and would provide good returns. He said Nepal had a stable government and all investments in the Export Processing Zone and Special Economic Zone were tax-free.

He said Nepal had the world’s second largest power plant of 83,000 MW.Dhakal said investors could explore opportunities in services, infrastructure, health, education and other sectors.

Almost 90 per cent of the people in Nepal were associated with agriculture, which constituted nearly 35 per cent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). He said an agreement was already signed for Delhi-Khatmandu bus service and efforts were on to sign a Sister City Agreement between Hyderabad and Khatmandu.
