Nalgonda: Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday lashed out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his move to shift the Secretariat to the Chest Hospital at Erragadda.

Talking to press persons here, the former minister took exception to the Chief Minister’s plan to shift the Secretariat.

He demanded that KCR withdraw his proposal and instead focus on fulfilling the promises he had made and provide employment opportunities to the youth. “KCR should not forget that Telangana got statehood though the Secretariat remained in the same place,” he said. He was critical of KCR failing to implement schemes he had announced and said they were on paper only. As almost all the political parties expressed their opposition to the idea of shifting Secretariat, KCR must withdraw the proposal. Venkat Reddy also accused the Chief Minister of failing to address the problems being faced by the people.

He suggested that KCR take interest in welfare schemes and developmental programmes and provide timely succour to the farmers and deprived classes, he said.
