Hyderabad: ALEAP, a city-based women empowerment organisation, hosted a one-day conference on ‘Make in India- Importance of Skill training’ at ALEAP Industrial Estate on Tuesday. The conference was attended by Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya, ALEAP president K Rama Devi, members of ALEAP, students, stakeholders in skilling and entrepreneurs.

“We launched the skill development programme as ‘Vandemataram’ to impart training and to empower underprivileged unskilled women. We have set up 20 centres across Telangana and AP for training, support, and facilitation which help women learn employable skills and provide guidance in areas like investment, economic sustainability and marketing,” said K Rama Devi at the conference.
