45 child labourers rescued
Highlights
In the continuing drive against child labour, as many as 45 children employed at jewellery making units at Talabkatta, Bhavaninagar, Mirchowk, and Hussainialam areas in the Old City were rescued in a raid conducted by Labour department officials along with the help of South Zone police on Thursday. The Labour department officials stated that offenders were being booked under Section 3 of the Child Labour Act and Sections 16, 17 and 18 of the Bonded Labour Abolition Act.
