‘SHE’ team nabs Professor for obscene attack

Cyberabad ‘She’ teams in a special drive launched caught a college student, a 40-year-old college professor and few labourers among the 27 persons in newly identified spots who harassed women in public places.

While uttering obscene words to a lady in Hayatnagar, the professor of a private engineering college was apprehended and based on a complaint received from a girl student, the student of the same college was held after recording the offense with help of a spy camera.

Based on calls received from dial ‘100’ teams, DCP Malkajgiri R Rama Rajeshwari said that the team caught five persons from ECIL bus stop which included even a drunk person from Nagole Crossroads while ten more offenders were caught in various locations in RTC bus stands in Ghatkesar, Keesara, LB Nagar, Bollarum Crossroads, KPHB Colony, Moula Ali and IDPL Balanagar.

4 more drunk labourers were arrested by ‘She’ team who made vulgar gestures at women in several bus stops. Ms. Rajeshwari said that the special drive was taken up on the inputs given by citizens through Facebook page and also from the field ‘She’ teams.

Complaints of Cyber stalking have been flooding the Cyberabad police Facebook page and the Commissioner of Police C.V. Anand immediately called for prompt action on every complaint and also added visible policing in ‘unsafe’ spots.
