TRS Joining Narendra Modi Club, a Win Win For KCR. A day after BJP strong man of Andhra Pradesh and Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu denied TRS entry into NDA, speculation is rife once again that the Telangana Rashtra Samiti would join the NDA government at the Centre.

Fuel has been added to the rumor following the marathon session of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday. The Modi-Rao meeting without aides shot up the mercury in the national capital that TRS Chief had laid the groundwork for TRS-BJP alliance for Telangana, a fore runner for the GHMC in Hyderabad polls.
It is no secret that the Telangana BJP does not see eye to eye with TDP and also M Venkaiah Naidu. The senior leader had even kept away from the state BJP office in Hyderabad during the 2013 and 2014 in the heat of Telangana movement and general elections when BJP state president opposed alliance with BJP.
Now, the BJP hierarchy in Delhi is keen to establish friendly relations with the TRS in view of its logistics which would prove beneficial in the event of Maharashtra politics and the Vidarbha demand for separate statehood. One should not forget that the founder of RSS, Hegdewar hailed from Indurthi in Nizamabad district and the Nasik-Nanded belt of Maharashtra has a strong RSS following. So is the Nizamabad, Adilabad and Karimnagar belt. During the Babri demolition, this belt had contributed 25,000 Ram sevaks to Ayodhya.
So it is not a surprise that the TRS was BJP and RSS to develop the Telangana region and it cannot be done with alliance of the MIM alone. BJP also needs TRS support to stem the MIM growth in the Nanded belt. We all know that the MIM Chief was not allowed to visit Aurangabad and Nanded for hate speech in the electioneering for 2014.
Alliance with NDA will be good for TRS to get more sops, even special status on par with the AP led by Venkaiah Naidu and Chandrababu Naidu. KCR has also focused on promotion of irrigation projects on a war footing and a friendly BJP led Maharashtra Government will enhance his liaison with the centre.
So if the TRS becomes a member of Modi club and NDA in all possibility, KCR will seek a cabinet berth for his daughter and Nizamabad MP Kavitha or the party general secretary K Keshav Rao, an erstwhile Congressman. In all ways it is a win win situation for the TRS.
