With the heat for the MLC seat under MLAs quota increasing, the leader of Opposition in the Council D Srinivas is making all out efforts to get another term.
Hyderabad: With the heat for the MLC seat under MLAs quota increasing, the leader of Opposition in the Council D Srinivas is making all out efforts to get another term. According to sources, Srinivas has started meeting all the party MLAs individually at their residence to seek their support. It is learnt that while Srinivas was getting good response from one section, the other group which consists of MLAs like Komatireddy Venkatareddy and K Jana Reddy are believed to have given a cold shoulder to him. Komatireddy did not meet Srinivas though he waited for about an hour and half, sources said. It is believed that the Reddy lobby led by leader of Opposition in Assembly K Jana Reddy was opposing the candidature of D Srinivas and TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah. Besides top leaders, Danam Nagender, D Sridhar Babu, M Anjan Kumar Yadav and former MP Madhu Yashki Goud are also believed to have jumped into the race for getting the lone MLC seat.
