9 IPS trainees test positive for swine flu

A total of nine IPS officer trainees tested positive for swine flu at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy. They were all admitted to different hospitals in the city. Three of them have already been discharged. Throat swabs were taken from all trainees who complained of cough/cold/fever.
Hyderabad: A total of nine IPS officer trainees tested positive for swine flu at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy. They were all admitted to different hospitals in the city. Three of them have already been discharged. Throat swabs were taken from all trainees who complained of cough/cold/fever.
A total of 917 vaccines were already administered in the campus to the trainees, workers, faculty and families. Doctors have conducted a sensitisation programme on H1N1 to trainees, participants of other courses, faculty and staff of the academy. Medical screening of all trainees was done and symptomatics were provided prophylactic treatment.
